Capisco Ergonomic Chair
The unique and iconic design of the Capisco chair encourages users to alternate between different work positions. Users can choose a traditional sitting position with their back against the backrest, a sit-stand position thanks to the saddle-shaped seat—which is adjustable for height, depth, and tilt—or even an inverted position.
In the inverted or “sternal” position, the backrest is adjusted to a height that allows the forearms to rest comfortably on the armrests. This helps relieve muscle pain in the back. This position is particularly well-suited for professionals who perform precision work, such as watchmakers or prosthetists, for example.
Easy to use and highly flexible, the Capisco office chair adapts perfectly to all professional sectors and helps improve the user’s comfort and energy levels at their workstation. The Capisco chair is also available in the Puls version, featuring a sleeker, lighter design that is particularly well-suited for production workstations.
Alternating work positions helps reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which are common when maintaining a static posture for long periods. For more tips on alternating postures, see the article “Working While Sitting and Standing: What Are the Effects on My Health?” in our Guides & Advice section.

Support
Gravity pulls us downward, so even when we’re sitting, pressure is exerted on our bodies. This pressure can be painful, on the one hand, and lead to musculoskeletal injuries, on the other. Support is therefore at the heart of the philosophy behind our chairs, which provide comprehensive body support to distribute contact over as large an area as possible, prevent localized pressure points, and keep the back in a natural position.
